Carbon Fiber Dash Kit.

I bought the kit on Ebay and I'm very happy with it. The storage area
cover was damaged so I've requested a replacement. The install took
me about two hours because I'm very meticulous. I removed all of the
dash and dome light pieces that get the overlays and installed the dash
kit outside of the car. Basically I cleaned the pieces real well and slightly
heated the C/F pieces with a hair drier, it makes them more flexible.
Test fit the pieces before removing the 3M backing and when your ready
pull a couple of inches of the backing off, line it up, and press down on it.
Now pull some more of the backing off and push it into place. Some of
the parts, mostly above the storage compartment and around the shifter, the
C/F will need to be heated as you install it so it will mold itself to the shape
of the plastic. It was very easy to install but once you've stuck the C/F down its
not moving again. After the C/F was all in I went back over each piece with the
hair drier and pressed them down again. (06/24/01)
